Allyson attended POP and went on to graduate from Ursuline Academy. She passed away at the age of 30, when her daughter Caroline, shown here, was just 7 weeks old. During her shortened life, Allyson was known for her service to others. . She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, and left an indelible mark on all those who knew her.
The "Allyson Bohannon Goldman Scholarship" is for an 8th grade girl from Prince of Peace who has been accepted to Ursuline and will attend Ursuline in the fall. It is a one time gift that helps offset tuition. Currently the amount of the scholarship is a very generous $5,000.
Students who would like to apply must write a one page essay, which will be read by the Bohannon family. The essay must answer the following question:
"Describe a time in your life when you had to overcome and obstacle. What was the obstacle, and how did overcoming it make you a stronger person?"
All essays must be completed by the deadline of April 11 and turned into Mrs. Carrie Stock, our 8th grade English teacher.
