We are a PreK3 through 8th grade school, a ministry of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Diocese of Dallas, fully accredited by The Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department (TCCB ED), approved by the Texas Education Association (TEA).
The parish was founded in 1991. Our first graduating 8th grade class was in 2000.
Our pastor is Father Michael Forge and our Parochial Vicar is Father Ikenna (Iyke) Udemba.
For the 2024-2025 school year, we have 785 students and 86 adults who teach, support, and/or lead our school.
We have been honored three times (2006, 2016, 2023) as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education, which recognizes 20-50 non-public schools each year from among the 36,000 private or parochial schools nationally.
We use a "president-principal" leadership model, with the president in charge of "operational vitality" (long term strategic planning, buildings and grounds, finances, philanthropy, athletics, public relations, etc.), and the principal in charge of the day to day running of the school (teachers, students, academic program, curriculum, scheduling, calendaring, discipline, etc.).
We prioritize safety and security for our students! The school, athletic fields and playgrounds are enclosed in an 8-foot security fence, which is locked up during school hours. All entrances into the school require swipe card access. All visitors are asked to sign in through the front office and are given quick background checks before being badged to enter. And the school employs a retired police officer during school hours, with license to carry, as its school marshal.
