Vanessa Brooks

Meet Ms. Vanessa Brooks! Ms. Brooks has been a quintessential POP faculty member since 2016, beginning as a PreK5 teacher assistant in the CLC. In 2019, Ms. Brooks was honored as a Work of Heart Award recipient by the Catholic Foundation. Excitingly, Ms. Brooks transitioned to 5K teacher for the 2020-2021 school year and has had an invaluable role in the lives of her PreK5 students ever since!

Ms. Brooks was born and raised from Plano and graduated from Plano East Senior High School. Ms. Brooks received her Bachelor's in Human Sciences from Texas Tech Unversity as well as her M.A. in Special Education. Ms. Brooks is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Why have you chosen to work in Catholic education? I enjoy shaping young minds, and it has created a deeper connection in my faith.

Favorite POP event and why? The CLC Empty Bowl Project because students have the opportunity to see where their gifts and donations go.
