What do you like about your position?
In my role as school counselor, I enjoy that every day is different; I can have a plan but the day rarely goes as planned as I respond to the daily needs of the kids. I hope that I can always be an advocate for the students.
Favorite day of the week and why?
I like Tuesday simply because it seems to be the less celebrated and perhaps forgotten day of the week.
Favorite POP event and why?
One of the things I enjoy the most each year are the mock interviews we do to prepare our 8th grade students for their High School interviews which is a part of their High School application process. It is great to hear from the kids about their dreams and desires. Hopefully I can share some tips and help build some confidence as well.
