Elizabeth Maitland

Say hello to Mrs. Liz Maitland, fifth grade teacher assistant and eighth grade French teacher, for the 2023-2024 school year! A Horned Frog through and through, Mrs. Maitland holds a B.A. in English Literature, B.S. in Advertising/Public Relations, and minor in French from Texas Christian University. Following her undergraduate career, Mrs. Maitland worked in public relations for nearly a decade, with the majority of those years in labor negotiations communications for American Airlines. During that time, Mrs. Maitland graduated with a M.A. in English Literature from the University of Dallas and worked in the writing center at North Lake College. Mrs. Maitland has served as a substitute teacher at POP for seven years as well as a testing coordinator at the Shelton School for the past four years.

Mrs. Maitland and her husband met at TCU and have been parishioners at Prince of Peace Catholic Church since 2008. The Maitlands share two current POP Stars including seventh grader Lucas and fifth grader Isabel. Mrs. Maitland feels blessed to be a part of the POP community and looks forward to beginning another great year at POP!
