Fr. Michael Forge, our pastor, was ordained a priest in the diocese of Dallas in 1997. His first assignment was at St. Pius X as a parochial vicar as the Vocation Director for the diocese. He has also served at St. Ann in Coppell. His first pastorate was at St. John in Terrell, and then at Mary Immaculate in Farmers Branch, where he led the parish for many years. He became pastor of Prince of Peace Church in 2021.
Regarding his years a priest, Fr. Michael says, "I entered this vocation with the hope and desire to have a positive, spiritual, impact on people’s lives--only to discover that the people have had a positive, spiritual, impact on my life."
He is also involved in various diocesan endeavors committees and Councils. He most recently earned a MS Degree in Ecclesial Administration and Management from the Catholic University of America, which he jokingly refers to as his "academic mid-life crisis moment."
Among his passions outside of parish life, he is a huge Cowboys fan, and serves as Catholic chaplain for the players and coaching staff. He also raises and breeds Registered Polled Herefords out of Terrell, Texas to keep himself grounded. "Closer to sod, closer to God!" he says.
"May our school bring our families and students closer to God!"
