Meet Mrs. Amanda Bonesio! A proud DFW native, Mrs. Bonesio is excited to be back for her eighth year at POP and third year as Media Center Specialist. Mrs. Bonesio holds a B.A. in Elementary Education with a focus in Early Childhood from Texas Christian University as well as an M.Ed. in Special Education with a Diagnostician Certification from the University of North Texas. Prior to transitioning to the Media Center, Mrs. Bonesio served as a fourth grade ELA teacher. A bibliophile with a penchant for bringing stories to life, transitioning to the Media Center has been easy for Mrs. Bonesio! She loves having the opportunity to create a magical place where students can feel safe, have fun, and cultivate a passion for books and learning. This year, however, Mrs. Bonesio and her husband Ryan will be the proud fifth grade parents of their daughter Gianna!
What do you enjoy about working at POP?
The freedom and ability to teach the whole child is what brought me to Prince of Peace. The community (everyone from administrators to coworkers to families and students) is what keeps me here. It feels like home.
Pick one: first day of school or last day of school?
Both! I love the crisp uniforms and clean shoes of the first day. Everyone is nervous and hopeful for the year ahead! I also love the party vibes of the last day, with the sense of accomplishment and a year well spent.
What would you do as President for a day? Eat ice cream all day.
