Congratulations to Kevin Babu '19! At his graduation ceremony, Kevin was honored as Valedictorian of the Jesuit College Preparatory School Class of 2023! Not only did Kevin earn a 102.42 cumulative GPA, but a plethora of awards and recognitions for his academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and outstanding leadership. Impressively, Kevin has been named an AP Scholar with Distinction, Harvard Book Award recipient, National Merit Scholarship Finalist, and U.S. Presidential Scholar Program candidate. At Jesuit, Kevin served as the managing editor of "The Round-Up" school newspaper (for which he received the St. Peter Canisius Award) and was a three-time recipient of the Haggerty Math & Science Scholarship. This fall, Kevin will pursue a bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Texas - Austin.

We couldn't be more #POPProud of William Greene, POP Class of 2019 alumnus and Cistercian Preparatory School Class of 2023 graduate! William is a wildly impressive musician and composer already with a complete catalog. Since composing "Mass for Victoria" in honor of his classmate Victoria McGrath during his sixth-grade year at POP, William has gone on to serve an instrumental role in establishing Monday morning praise and worship at the Notre Dame School of Dallas as well as compose and perform original music for the Cistercian Fine Arts Department's spring production of Much Ado About Nothing. Even with a flourishing career in the performing arts, William has modeled exceptional scholasticism and a commitment to his schoolwork; this year, William was honored as an AP Scholar with Honors, National Merit Finalist, and member of the Cum Laude Academic Honor Society. This fall, William will attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, to pursue a degree in cognitive science and managerial analytics.
Congratulations to Katrina Lam '19 on being named Salutatorian of the Ursuline Academy Class of 2023! Katrina earned the second highest GPA in her graduating class and impressed all of her teachers and mentors, both current and past, with her extraordinary poise, leadership, and involvement. Congratulations to Matthew Nguyen '19 on being recognized as Co-Valedictorian of the Cistercian Preparatory School Class of 2023! Matthew boasts an impressive resume that reflects his extensive academic achievements. This year, Matthew put his foreign language skills to the test to earn the Silver Level Award on the National Spanish Exam. In addition to being honored nationwide as a National Merit Commended Student (an incredible feat in and of itself), Matthew was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction for his outstanding performance on five AP exams through his junior year despite not having taken the courses. Not only was Matthew a member of the basketball team, Cum Laude Academic Honor Society, tutoring club, and yearbook staff, but also a leader on Cistercian's world championship First Robotics team. This fall, Matthew will attend the University of Texas - Austin.
Congratulations to POP alumni in the Bishop Lynch Class of 2023! During their time at Bishop Lynch, POP '19 graduates including Barron Cate (left), Ysabella Denis, Tadd Foster, Itzel Hinojosa (right), John Koonce, and Reagan Upton (center) completed over 129 dual-credit hours for college credit. Additionally, graduates earned over $1.5 million in college scholarships. Excitingly, Barron graduated in the top 25% of her class. Barron will attend Samford University; Ysabella will attend the University of North Texas; Tadd will attend Texas Tech University; Itzel will attend the University of Arkansas; John will attend Texas Tech University; and Reagan will attend Loyola University.
