Congratulations to all POP students in grades 1-8 who competed in this year's PSIA Academic Competition! Students competed in over 18 objective and subjective events, ranging from art memory to calculator applications to spelling, against private school students from across the metroplex.
Excitingly, SEVEN POP Stars placed first in their divisions, including: Jason S. (Dictionary Skills - 6, 7, 8); Felipe M. (Maps, Graphs, & Charts - 5); Matthew W. (Maps, Graphs, & Charts - 8); Duncan H. (Number Sense - 6); Rebecca K. (Poetry Interpretation - 4); Lukas U. (Spelling - 4); and Jordan T. (Spelling - 7, 8). Both these seven first-place winners and four additional state qualifiers (Elisabeth H., Alex M., John R., and Markus U.) will advance to the statewide PSIA competition later this spring.
We are incredibly#POPProud of our students for their academic acumen and extracurricular commitment to continued scholasticism!
