DPL Champions: Varsity Flag Football

POP Stars are DPL champions! At the 2023 Catholic Bowl, the undefeated varsity flag football (VFFB) team continued their season-long tradition of double-digit point differentials to clinch the DPL championship. After a dominant 9-0 season, POP Star student-athletes kicked off the play-offs as the #1 seed and coasted their way to the Catholic Bowl with postseason wins of 48-12 and 38-7. At the championship game, the VFFB team iced out All Saints in a demoralizing 38-12 victory to secure their title. In addition to an untarnished record, POP Stars are bringing back sparkling new hardware as well.

Congratulations once again to the VFFB team on an undefeated season and well-deserved DPL championship! We couldn’t be more #POPProud of our all-Star student-athletes for their hard work, drive, and unrelenting commitment to their team, and we cannot wait to cheer on seventh grade team members Massimo F. and Julian R. as they lead a new roster of student-athletes to back-to-back championships next season! As for our senior-most student-athletes, we’re eagerly anticipating the legacy you’ll leave as you establish elite flag football programs at the high school level.
