Student-athletes on the JV boys cross country team finished their season in winning fashion at the DPL City Meet. POP Stars finished in first place overall, going the distance and beating out the competition to secure sparkling new hardware for the trophy case. Sixth-grade student-athlete Austin M. finished third overall, complementing the team’s trophy with an additional heavy medal. By only a two-point margin, the varsity boys team crossed the finish line to clinch second place in their division, and the JV girls team dominantly followed suit. Thrillingly, multiple POP Stars beat the clock to secure ribbons in their respective divisions.
Congratulations to all POP cross country teams for a record-breaking season and to our JV boys team on a well-deserved DPL championship title! We couldn’t be more #POPProud of these Star student-athletes and cannot wait to see them continue a winning tradition next fall.
Special thanks to coaches Madeline Harrison, Jenny Hollabaugh, and Natalie McHugh! Thank you for all you do to support our student-athletes and encourage them to strive for their personal bests. The POP Athletics program couldn’t do it without parent volunteers like you!
